The Parent Coaching Institute launches a new resource for parents supporting parents around technology issues.
BELLINGHAM, WA, January 20, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- "What is more inspiring, telling and effective than parents themselves sharing what works for them?" asks Gloria DeGaetano, CEO and founder of the Parent Coaching Institute. That question is the backbone of a new initiative recently launched by the institute. "Parents' voices are so important when it comes to technology issues," adds DeGaetano. "Every child is unique; every family has their individual routines and ways of empowering their kids with healthy technology use. There is so much to learn from one another."
Within this new resource, Technology Success Stories are shared by parents during an audio interview with Ms. DeGaetano. In addition to the audio, a brief summary is given on the website. The goal is to showcase parents of children of all ages and stages of development. For instance, Reem, shares her stressful journey of realizing that putting her 3-year-old in front of a screen to keep him occupied was actually contributing to his uncooperative behaviors and meltdowns. During the conversation with Gloria, she explains what she tried and how she discovered what worked by observing her child and following her parental instincts. She concluded that she wanted all parents to know: "It's so much easier to do than you would ever expect. And I swear it's magic."
When possible, research is shared that backs up the parents' decisions and success strategies. In the case above a link is given to sobering data that shows that more than 4 hours a day of screen time for babies and toddlers puts them at risk for autistic symptoms.
On board for the next interviews are parents of teens as well as an interview with PCI Certified Parent Coach® and instructor, Tierney Boggs. Tierney is an author of a children's book as well as a book for parents. But most importantly she is the mother of 3, ages 8, 5 and 3. She will share how she and her husband decided to adjust the screentime rules as the children grow and what they have learned about themselves and their values in the process.
DeGaetano explains: "Parents have so much wisdom and creativity in giving their children the best that they can. Our Technology Success Stories resource is an exciting endeavor because parents are sharing inspiring real-world ideas—not pie in the sky mandates from experts. You can be sure when a busy working parent finds something that works to reduce screen time or discuss potential social media contentious issues with a teen, other parents sit up and notice."
